Velocity SEIS Consumer Technology Fund achieved a 6.6x return on a partial exit in respect of one of its holdings in May 2017 within 13 months of investment. Velocity has also obtained an approved valuation for the overall SEIS fund portfolio at 3.6x within the same 13 month period.

Successful exits with SEIS and EIS investments are extremely rare so this is a truly unique achievement, especially given that the Velocity Tech Fund is only in it’s second year.

Behind the success is a determined philosophy of active, professional, comprehensive management in the underlying businesses and ‘skin in the game’; Velocity management have invested over £1 million in these carefully vetted consumer technology businesses.

Velocity Tech Fund has also attracted co-investments from world-class partners including Unilever Ventures, and Old College Capital, Edinburgh University’s endowment fund.

Velocity are now looking to further capitalise on their impressive achievements by developing the existing investee businesses and creating further profitable start-ups at the very cutting edge of consumer technology.
