Episode 2: Investing for Growth

The second episode of The GrowthInvest Adviser Hour, the webinar series which focuses on tax efficient investments, is on Thursday at 11am.

Called Investing for Growth, the second episode of the new series looks closer at the diversification and risk mitigation within the growth investing space, and how advisers are adapting to new rules.

It also includes how to best explain these changes to their clients, and a look at specific sector investigating challenges, including experts from technology and media sectors.

In each episode, a panel of expert industry figures from product providers, trade organisations and financial adviser firms give their views and insights, their predictions for the next few months, how to best address perceived, or real barriers to advising on tax efficient investments, and their views on the very latest developers.

The panel is made up of:

John Glencross – CEO, Calculus Capital
John co-founded Calculus Capital with Susan McDonald in 1999, creating one of the UK’s most successful, independent private equity firms focused on investing in smaller, proven companies. John has over 30 years’ experience in private equity, corporate finance, and operational management. During that time, he has invested in, advised on or negotiated more than 100 transactions and served on publicly quoted and private corporate boards.
Paul Mattick – Head of Sales & Investor Relations, Mercia
Paul Mattick heads the Sales and Investor Relations team for the Mercia Growth Funds (EIS). He works directly with private clients and advisors to build the EIS fund raising capacity of Mercia. Paul oversees the administration and development of the EIS funds and ensures that investors receive a high level of service, much of which is delivered through Mercia’s award-winning Investor Centre.
Raimund Berens – CEO, Ironbox Capital
Raimund Berens is CEO and founder of Iron Box Capital and specialises in budgeting and production management, script development, international finance raising and legal structuring of feature films, as well as all aspects of production management.
Mark Brownridge – Director General, EISA
Mark has over twenty years’ experience in financial services.  He was previously head of research and development at Mazars, a leading UK financial planning firm. Mark is a Certified Financial Planner, a Chartered Financial Planner, a Chartered Wealth Manager and Fellow of the Personal Finance Society and he also formerly sat on the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments Accredited firms committee and TISA’s Distribution Policy Council.
